Originally, I am from Canada where I received my bachelor’s degree in fine arts. As a child I spent holidays hiking and camping in the sunshine. It seemed an easy place to imagine something magical might happen.

Moving to London shortly after graduating I decided to continue my education and became a primary school teacher. Beyond having had the honour of learning from and enjoying stories with my students, London has allowed me the chance to experience world class art.

Supplementing my illustration development at Anglia Ruskin with watercolour, figure, and etching at Putney School of Art has helped me to use colour and lighting for dramatic effect. I now have a daughter of my own with a huge imagination, who consumes stories like sweets.
